Tropical Explorers Spring Break Camp

The Historical Museum's Tropical Explorers camps are held during Winter, Spring and Summer breaks. Students from 6 to 12 years of age blast into the past to discover native people, prehistoric sites and have wild adventures. Guided by museum educators, historians and artists, campers will discover the treasures of South Florida's history through gallery games, music, arts and crafts, field trips to historical sites and much more!

Tropical Explorers Spring Break Camp
April 5-10, 2009
9 am to 5 pm (Early drop-off 8:30 am and late pick-up 5:30 pm available)

Cost: Weekly campls are $155 for HMSF Members and $180 for Non-members. Day Camps are $35 for HMSF Members, $40 for Non-HMSF members.

SPRINGTIME ADVENTURERS
APRIL 6-10

Join our Tropical Explorer campers for a fun-filled week of springtime activities. Build complete, colorful Spanish Conquistador and Native American outfits. Participate, in costume, in a film on the exploration of Florida during the 1500s. Make stunning stained-glass flower and insect artwork. Included is a trip to beautiful Flamingo Gardens, full of colorful flora and serving as a rehabilitation center for Florida birds and other animals.

Sponsor a child today! Give an underprivileged or at-risk youngster an opportunity to attend camp at your museum for FREE. Campers ages 6 to 12 are given the opportunity to be creative, explore new worlds, develop new interests and make new friends. Your sponsorship is tax-deductible.
